Privacy Policy

How Vidily processes account data, source URLs, uploaded product media, generated videos, and billing information.

This policy describes how Vidily ("Vidily," "we," or "us") processes information when you use our website and SaaS explainer-video service. It is an operational policy for the MVP and should not be read as legal advice.

Information we collect

We process the minimum information needed to operate the service:

  1. Account data — name, email address, authentication identifiers, locale, and account settings.
  2. Project inputs — public website URLs, the page text and metadata we extract, product names, audience descriptions, calls to action, storyboards, logos, and screenshots you upload.
  3. Generated media — voiceover files, captions, captured webpage images, preview frames, final videos, and automated quality reports.
  4. Service data — IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, feature usage, errors, security events, and campaign attribution.
  5. Billing data — plan, amount, currency, transaction status, and processor identifiers. Stripe or another enabled payment provider processes card and bank details; Vidily does not store complete payment-card numbers.
  6. Support communications — messages and attachments you send when requesting help.

Do not submit passwords, private API keys, confidential customer data, or media you are not allowed to process.

How URL processing works

When you submit a public URL, Vidily may fetch that page, follow limited redirects, and extract visible text, metadata, colors, logos, and screenshots. We do not ask for or use credentials to enter a private application. If useful product proof is behind a login, you can upload screenshots that you are authorized to use.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • authenticate users and secure accounts;
  • analyze submitted pages and create editable storyboards;
  • generate voiceover, captions, previews, and final videos;
  • reserve, consume, or restore Export Credits;
  • process payments and maintain transaction records;
  • provide support and communicate service or security notices;
  • detect abuse, debug failures, and improve reliability; and
  • measure acquisition and product funnels when analytics are enabled.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use private project inputs to train a public model unless we first obtain explicit permission.

Service providers

We use infrastructure and subprocessors where necessary, including Cloudflare for hosting, database, and object storage; Stripe or another enabled provider for payments; MiniMax for text-to-speech; GitHub Actions or Cloudflare Containers for isolated rendering; and optional analytics or email providers shown in the service. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy notices and may process it in other countries.

Retention

Account and transaction records are retained while your account is active and as required for security, tax, dispute, or legal purposes. Project inputs and generated outputs are retained so you can reopen and download a project. You may request project or account deletion. Backup copies, fraud records, and transaction records may remain for a limited period where deletion is not technically immediate or retention is legally required.

Generated-media URLs use hard-to-guess object keys but may be publicly retrievable by anyone who has the URL. Do not use Vidily as storage for highly confidential material.

Cookies and analytics

Vidily uses essential cookies for authentication, security, locale, and preferences. If analytics are enabled, we may collect page, referral, campaign, and conversion events. We do not send uploaded screenshots, storyboard text, email addresses, or payment details as analytics event properties.

Security

We use encrypted network transport, access controls, server-side secret storage, input validation, rate limits, and isolated rendering. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting account credentials and for promptly reporting suspected misuse.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to be informed, access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or receive a portable copy of personal data. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent and complain to an applicable supervisory authority. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some rights are subject to legal exceptions.

Children

Vidily is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account if you are not old enough to consent to online services in your jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product and provider list change. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product or email notice.
